Where has God gone in our country?

Where has god gone in our country and why are so many trying to push him farther out of our lives? They cry about their right to not have god in their lives, what about my right to have god in my life(and not just on Sunday morning). The Obama administration wants people to have faith in the government not in god. The administration also knows people of faith handle hard times better. Obama is trying to turn this country into a socialist democracy, have you ever seen a socialist that is a person of faith? NO. Obama claims we are not a christian country, but we are. He claims we are a muslim country, but we are not. We need to stand up for our country and our god. We need to show Obama we are indeed a christian country!!!!!

Where has God gone? He has gone nowhere. He is always here, but it feels like many people don't like that fact. This is not the United States that I grew up in.

You had better believe that God is still here. He does indeed have it all under control. The United States decided to let a nasty faul mouthed Athiest Pig, Madelaine Albright, have her way in removing God from our schools. Oh and by the way the pig got murdered, go figure. You can believe that God is very much alive and in control. It may not feel like it just now, but be assured he most definitely is.

I agree, God is always present and in control, I like your positive faith.
It's our obedience to Him and His Word that gets His favor, protection. and presence. We, our nation, has stepped out from under His protecting umbrella on purpose. So many have told Him 'we don't want you unless we have a problem and then call on You.' It doesn't work that way. They, the govt mostly, have kicked him out of courts, schools, meetings, etc. We can worship a minnow but not our God. We can pray to any other god but not the true one and only God. Individually Christians must humble ourselves and pray, turn from our wicked ways and call on Him, He will hear and heal our land. He loves, but we're going to have to stay faithful, take a stand and be strong even if it's all the way to beheading.

As you all have said he is with us always. We are very guilty of being too complacent for too long. We should have yelled longer and louder when prayer in our schools was under attack. If we as christians don't stand up now and make our voices heard then before very long obama (small "o" on purpose ;) and his cohearts in Washington will have "In God We Trust" off of our currency and "One Nation Under God" out of our pledge. We need to be respectful but LOUD and let them know freedom of religion in this country also means the freedom to practice that religion publicly without interference from the government.

Just one idea for what its worth, but maybe we should organize a National Pray for our Country time say once a week. Maybe thats what it will take to get our voices remembered and push this agnostic/aetheistic crowd from the forefront and get OUR God back where he needs to be: in control. I am not the only person I know would go for this. I have a company full of people who would bow in silence and know a few extra who would join in too. Just a thought, tell me what you think.....

To answer the general question: God is HERE. He has not abandoned us...

Many , many, of us need to have, or share a solemn moment. I certainly do. Once a week, as it always was/is.

This concept needs a certain theme. If not, it may get twisted, construed and linked into what we as believers in God and a shared prayer did not intend.

Any other thoughts on this...?
